Updates to K9 Partners Website

Hello… and pardon our dust as we upgrade and update our website.  We are changing the design and migrating pages to the site as we go, so if you aren’t finding what you’re looking for right now, please check back in a few days.

We hope to have our beautiful new site completely updated by March 17th, although we expect to be adding new pages and new donation gifts soon. We will post updates as we go.

Thanks for your patience.

Congratulations to Lt. Zirkle

Several K9 Partners board members attended the promotion ceremony for Sgt. Zirkle on Monday, Feb. 24, 2021. While we congratulate him on his promotion to Lieutenant, we will miss him as he takes on his new duties. To show our appreciation, we presented Lt. Zirkle with a remembrance item for his assistance and patience with our organization. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.

Remembrance

Our deepest condolences to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and the Gibson family, for the loss of Deputy Adam Gibson. K9 Riley was also killed in this incident and we send sincere condolences to his family as well.

From yesterday, 02-03-2021
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K9 teams are honoring Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Adam Gibson. Today is his funeral.
Deputy Harris and K9 Ava, Deputy Nemeth and K9 Titus, and Deputy Wike and K9 Zeke joined about 80 other K9 teams from all over the west to line the streets leading to Bayside Church in Roseville, where Deputy Gibson’s funeral will be held.
His funeral was live streamed on KCRA ‘s Facebook page.

Our Mission Statement

Washoe County K9 Partners is a non-profit organization designed to help Washoe County, Nevada’s law enforcement dogs that serve and protect our communities with equipment, training, and medical needs.  This organization is not designed to take the place of any agency’s K9 budget, but to assist as needed.

All funds collected stay in our communities to help our K9s.  The Washoe County K9 Partners Board of Directors vet and approve all expenditures.

All donations are kept in a general fund that is used for approved expenses.  The only exceptions to this practice are for prior arrangements made for a donation earmarked for a specific purpose, such as the purchase and training of a K9 and handler.
